Discover the Beauty of Cape Town:

Part 1: Cape Town City & Peninsula (Nights 1-5)

Accommodation: Cape Town Lodge Hotel, City Center (or similar)

Day 1: Arrival and City Orientation 🇿🇦

Arrive at Cape Town International Airport (CPT) and take a private or shuttle transfer directly to the Cape Town Lodge Hotel, centrally located on Buitengracht Street. After checking in and settling down, take a short, easy walk to orient yourself. Enjoy a relaxed afternoon exploring the nearby Bo-Kaap area, famed for its brightly coloured houses. End the day with a casual dinner at one of the hotel's nearby eateries or the popular Famous Butchers Grill restaurant located within the Lodge.

Day 2: The Iconic Mountain and Historic Quarter

Start your day with a visit to Cape Town's most famous landmark. Head to the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway to ascend Table Mountain for stunning views of the city, coastline, and Peninsula (Note: check weather conditions beforehand). In the afternoon, explore the heart of the city's history: visit the District Six Museum to understand the area's complex past, followed by the Company’s Garden for a peaceful stroll.

Day 3: The Spectacular Cape Peninsula

Embark on a full-day, highly recommended scenic drive around the Cape Peninsula. This tour takes you along the Atlantic Seaboard, through charming seaside towns. Highlights include the jaw-dropping cliff-side views of Chapman’s Peak Drive, a visit to Boulders Beach to see the African Penguin colony, and reaching the iconic Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve.

Day 4: Waterfront and Leisure

After breakfast, head to the bustling V&A Waterfront. Spend the morning on a leisure activity such as a scenic harbour cruise, a visit to the Two Oceans Aquarium, or exploring the array of shops and markets. Alternatively, you could book a ferry trip to Robben Island (must be booked well in advance). Enjoy lunch at the Waterfront before returning to the city for an afternoon relaxing by the hotel's rooftop pool or using the fitness center.

Day 5 : Botanical Beauty and Wine Country Preparation

Spend the morning immersed in the beauty of the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, known for its incredible indigenous flora. Walk the 'Boomslang' canopy walkway for a different perspective. This afternoon is for preparation: pick up any supplies needed, and enjoy a final evening in the city before transferring to the Winelands tomorrow.

Part 2: Stellenbosch Winelands (Night 6 & 7)

 

Accommodation: Stellenbosch Hotel or Historic Guesthouse

Day 6 & 7: Transfer to Stellenbosch and Wine Immersion

Check out of the Cape Town Lodge Hotel and transfer by road to the historic town of Stellenbosch (approx. 45-60 minutes drive). Check into your accommodation. The afternoon is dedicated to the region's world-class wine: enjoy a guided cellar tour and tasting at a renowned estate, focusing on the local varietal, Pinotage. Spend the evening soaking up the town's atmosphere and enjoying a gourmet dinner.


Part 3: Safari and Departure (Nights 8 -10)

Accommodation: Aquila Private Game Reserve (3 Nights)

Day 8: Transfer to Aquila Game Reserve and First Safari

Check out of your Stellenbosch accommodation and transfer to the Aquila Private Game Reserve (approx. 1.5 - 2 hour drive). This is your first of three nights. Arrive in time for the included buffet lunch and check-in. The main event begins this afternoon with your thrilling Afternoon/Sunset Game Drive in an open 4x4 vehicle, starting your search for the famous Big Five animals. Enjoy dinner at the lodge followed by a possible stargazing experience.

Day 9: Full Safari Day: Big Five Encounters

A full day in the African bush. Begin with an Early Morning Game Drive—this is often the best time to see predators. Return for a hearty breakfast. During the mid-day leisure time, you can relax by the pool, read, or explore the reserve's main lodge facilities. The afternoon features another extensive Game Drive, offering a different route to maximize sightings. Dinner is a social affair at the main restaurant.

Day 10 : Full Safari Day: Optional Adventures

Your extra day ensures a truly immersive safari experience. Participate in the scheduled Morning Game Drive. Today, you can take advantage of the extended stay benefits, which can include access to the Spa facilities (treatments are optional extra) and the option to substitute a game drive for a Horseback or Quad Bike Safari .This extended time guarantees more opportunities to spot all the Big Five.

Day 11: Final Safari and Airport Transfer

Enjoy one final Early Morning Game Drive to complete your safari adventure. Return to the lodge for a full breakfast before checking out (typically around 10:00 AM). Take your pre-arranged transfer directly from the Aquila Private Game Reserve to Cape Town International Airport (CPT) for your flight departure. Please budget for a 3-4 hour travel and check-in time.
